ABR SESTA offers a panel of 300 modern trade stores which are visited by our auditors every weekend. We are the leader in carrying out the audits in respect of not only the experience and the turnover but also quality of the data and implementation of modern techniques of collecting it.
All the information is collected with the help of palmtops equipped with barcode scanners (Motorola MC 55 and MC 50) and with software which is co-financed from the EU donations. All the palmtops are also equipped with GPS system. Owing that we are sure and informed of where the survey takes places. In case of any doubts the built-in digital camera is used (e.g. prices exceeding the range for SKU).
In-store audits include monitoring regularly some chosen aspects in order to deliver information about the situation in the sales points:
• prices – regular and promotional ones (including the product range inventory )
• distribution complied with listings
• promotion (types of promotions, types of support, types of displays, locations in the shop)
• promotional leaflets (from more than 140 retail chains),
• shelf-shares (linearly, by front surface, by facings)
• merchandising questions,
• sales data from distribution networks,
• sales promotion effectiveness (econometric modelling – sales increase vs. base sales for a given SKU)
• photos – including descriptions and sizes of the products (for planograms, folders and catalogues),
• census of points of sales with the use of GPS
We gather all data according to the specification received from the customer (rules, list of the stores). The information is available in our online reporting system. The clients receive all the Excel tables and charts (ready to use) created according to their requirements.
